We are the Bartels family and we are proud to say we have grown The Seafood Gateway from the ground up, right here in the Deep South. Originally starting as ABTEC Seafood Exporters, then registered as a company ABTEC Pty Ltd, now also marketing as The Seafood Gateway.

What started with just one man, Stephen Bartels, has become a mighty team of five, on family-owned land with a fully enclosed recirculating aquaculture systems with custom-built holding tanks.

We stand by the high quality of our live Southern Rock Lobster, with an emphasis on low environmental impact and close working relationships with our local commercial fishermen.

We love supplying our 100% sustainably sourced Tasmanian Southern Rock Lobster to our customers, both at home in Australia and internationally.
